Since I believe that everything happens for a reason. I would like to share with you what came to me one day. I don't know how it came, but I will use it with a passion.
Reasons are like seasons. There are different seasons, as there are different reasons. You can prepare, but never know how it will turn out. It might turn out to be sunny. You also could prepare for a reason, but not get the outcome you expected. You could hate the weather, you could hate reasons. You could love seasons, or reasons. The most important thing is going along with it. If it's snowing outside are you going to be wearing shorts? Or are you going to go along with it and bundle up. If it's 100• are you going to wear sweats? Or will you wear shorts and a t-shirt? I'd hope. Even if you hate the season, you've got to go along with it if you want to stay healthy, or alive. You could also go against it, but wearing shorts in the snow will get you nowhere. The same things goes for reasons. The best way is just to learn to adapt. Go with it!

Prayer and your relationship with God
Prayer is the ultimate connection. No cords, no bills, no pain. It is the answer to all of your problems. And the best way to grow closer to Christ.
But what is prayer really about, is it about telling God what you dislike about something, or someone? Is it about asking what you want but might not need? Never.
Prayer is the number one things we as Christians take for granted. Some people will only pray things like" God, I really need you to help me out, I really want...... "Blah blah blah. Or, " Hey God, please watch over my mom and dad, and help get rid of my cold, oh and help me find my car keys, in your name amen." Short and simple. Thats not the kind of relationship God wants to have with you. Asking for something you want is not going to get you anywhere, anytime soon. God wants to have the best possible relationship with you, and it's your job to gain it. Prayer is the best way. True prayer.
When you pray, you need to have a real, one on one talk.
A professional football player wouldn't go up to his coach and say something like, " Hey Coach, I want to play defense, not kicker". (haha sorry I don't really know any better football terms) He would say something like, "Hey coach, I think I'm a better kicker than defense, but wherever you want to put me I'll do it, and try my best." The coach wants the best for the player, and his team. And will put the player wherever he thinks is best for him, and what he things the player cappable of. Like the coach, God also wants the best for you, and will help you with whatever he thinks should go, and you can't change it. So we need to be like the better player, and accept what God does for us, and really tell God our opinions, and what we are worried about. Get in deep prayer.
Tell Him what you would like, not only that, but why you would like that. What you think about your want. Your worries about it, and anything else you would like to share with Him. For example, if you really wanted to buy a house, and you prayed about it you could pray something like" God, I really need your help. I want to buy a house. I really want to because I would like to move out of my parent's and get a real life. I think that I can do it, but I need your help. I'm worried that if I get a house to pricy, I'll never be able to pay it back. I know I can do it with your help. Please guide me to the right place and decision. In Jesus name I pray Amen.".
Go even deeper than that. The deeper the conversation the better the relationship you'll build with God. Tell God your every thought. You will be even closer to God, and feel very reassuered afterwards.

Friendships
God made us to build relationships with people. Friendship is one of the best things you can have. Doesn't it feel good to always have a back to turn to? Someone you can count on for anything? Those feelings are amazing! The very best thing about friendship is that no matter how far away you are, you still know they care about you, and you care about them! One thing you need to keep in mind is that YOU ARE THE PEOPLE YOU HANG OUT WITH!!!! That is why my friend and I have distanced ourselves from our old group. I want to turn out better than they do, but hanging around them WILL NOT get me there.
In other words, choose your friends wisely!

Be Open To People
For the past few months my youth group has been having sessions about topics from the amazing movie "To Save A Life". For those of you who have not yet seen the movie, long story short: Roger and Jake grew up best friends. They hung out all the time! Then, when they were out riding bikes, a car comes right for Jake, without even a second thought, Roger pushes Jake out of the way and takes the hit himself. Ever since that day Roger has had a leg disability. When they both enter into high school they slowly grow apart; Jake being the school basketball champ gets him very popular, while Roger is known as the "uncool" kid. After Roger couldn't take the life of being bullied, he went to school and shot himself. He died instantly. Though Jake grew apart from Roger quite a bit, he wasn't let unscathed. He blamed himself for not standing up for his old pal. A few weeks after a wild party, his girlfriend finds out she's pregnant, him being the father. His girlfriend is scared and confused, and wants an abortion. After losing Roger, he is eager not to lose another life. Jake has to pick between the college he has always dreamed about, or his girlfriend and their baby.
Tonight the topic was choosing between those you love, or your dreams, like Jake had to go through. I learned you should aways be there for everyone, you might end up losing them. For the activity, we each got two large sticky notes. On one we wrote what we were going through, or what we didn't like about ourselves. We stuck that one on the front of our shirt. With the second one, we left it blank, and put it on our back. We got to go around and write on the blank sticky of other people encouraging words based on the front sticky. I enjoyed writing encouraging words on other's sticky because I got to comfort people. I loved to read what other people wrote on my sticky and felt encouraged. It's funny how you can comfort other people but not the person you know the most, yourself.

Say NO to judgement!
You shouldn't judge or make fun of anyone for any reason. If you judge someone's looks, personality, ect, you're pretty much judging God, because that person is God's creation, whom He made in His image. It's wrong to make fun of someone, no matter who or what they did. God gave them their own personality for reasons you'll never know. He gave you one too, other people could hate it, but they shouldn't! It would be very boring if He made everyone the same. Use your personality that He gave you for the better, because He made you the way you are for a reason, and is counting on you!

"And If Our God Is With Us"
"Do not fear for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God" Isaiah 41:10.
When you read this, what do you think?
You're alone at home, then, the alarm goes off. You hear somebody running upstairs, so you grab the phone and call the Police. The police are on their way, but you hear that somebody coming down the stairs. You can hardly breath you are so scared. Thoughts race through your head, will I die? Does he have a gun? Will they get here in time? Of course we would be worried, but what should you think about? The answer is God. He will protect you! He will get you through this!
It's hard not to be afraid, but try! Always remember that God is with you, and he will love you no matter what! Trust Him!
Remember the Chris Tomlin song? "And if our God is with us then who can ever stop us, and if our God is greater, then who can stand against!"

God has a reason for everything!
Everything happens for a reason; you could love it or hate it. God wants us to trust in Him, drop everything and just go to Him, when things happen, you'll know God has a reason, a purpose for it.
We are all God’s children, so if you're a Christian or not he'll always make things happen for a reason, good or bad, since he loves each and every one of us and wants the best for us. More than likely, if you believe in Him you'll go farther than those who don't, because you'll have Him for your strength and know you truly have a purpose in life. You'll have more faith in what you do, therefore, push yourself more! It's all about trusting Him. "It all comes back to Jesus"!
